Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Notify collects, how we use it and who we share it with. Notify is a review-alert service that emails you when new reviews appear on your Chrome Web Store™ or Google Workspace Marketplace™ listings, operated by Olivier Tavernier, doing business as Toolbow (in this policy, Notify, we, us and our). Notify only reads public listing pages and never asks for, or receives, access to your Google™ developer account.

Information we collect

• Google™ account profile: your name, email address and avatar, received when you sign in with Google™.
• Tracked listings: the Chrome Web Store™ and Google Workspace Marketplace™ listing URLs you ask us to watch.
• Public review content: the author display name, rating, review text and dates we read from those public listing pages.
• Billing details: a Stripe customer reference and subscription status. Payment is handled by Stripe, and we never see or store your full card number.
• Usage data: basic product analytics about how the app is used, so we can improve it.
• Submitted URLs: the listing URL you type into a form on our website, including when it isn't recognised, so we can fix the addresses our service fails to read.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• operate the service and send you email alerts when new reviews are published;
• create and secure your account and let you sign in;
• manage your subscriptions, trials and billing;
• respond to your questions and provide support;
• understand how the product is used and improve it.

Information sharing

We never sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers listed below, so they can perform their part of running Notify on our behalf, and only where the law requires it. We do not share your data for advertising.

Service providers

Notify relies on a small set of trusted providers, each handling only what it needs to:

• Supabase: authentication and database hosting for your account and listing data.
• Stripe: subscription billing and payment processing; card details go directly to Stripe.
• Resend: delivery of transactional and alert emails.
• PostHog: product analytics that help us understand and improve the service.
• Vercel: hosting for the Notify web application.
• Cloudflare: hosting for the background worker that reads public listing pages.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Access to your data is restricted, connections are encrypted in transit, and the providers above are established platforms with their own security practices. No online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Data retention

We keep your account and its data for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time, and we will do so, keeping only what we must for legal or accounting reasons. The public review data we store relates to third-party reviewers and is collected from public store pages; it reflects what is already publicly visible on those listings.

Your rights

You can request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and its data. To make any of these requests, email us at olivier@toolbow.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Notify after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
